Did you forget your math book? Are you missing a worksheet? Are you looking for some extra math practice or enrichment? You've come to the right page!
Currently, we are studying Chapter 6: Area of triangles. To be successful with this chapter and end of chapter test, students will need to have a firm understanding of how to find the area of triangles, squares and rectangles. The area of a square or rectangle can be calculated by multiplying the length and the width. The area of a triangle = 1/2 x base x height. The most challenging part of this chapter is solving triangle area problems where the base or height is not easily identified. Students will have to problem solve to first figure out what part of a figure is the base, what part is the height, and then figure out the dimensions of both. Only then can the area be calculated.
